What is an AI workflow audit, and is it worth it?

An AI workflow audit is a fixed-fee sit-down with your team plus a short written report. In about a month, you go from 'we know we're losing hours every week to repetitive process work' to a prioritised list of the processes worth replacing with AI workflows, scoped and costed, with our honest read on which ones will pay back and which ones won't. There's no commitment to build with us afterwards. About half of audit clients implement with us; the other half take the report and run it themselves or with their internal tech team.

What's included

  • A 60–90 minute structured sit-down with you and a few of your team (no prep needed)
  • A short written report (typically 8–12 pages) covering: the repetitive processes draining the most hours, the steps that cause recurring errors, and the work we'd leave alone
  • A prioritised list of process replacements with rough scope, cost, and expected hours saved
  • Honest red flags: where AI is the wrong tool, where automation would damage the client experience, where the underlying process needs fixing first
  • A 30-minute follow-up call to walk you through the report and answer questions

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Sit-down

We block off 60–90 minutes with you and a few of your team and walk through how your work actually moves, step by step. No prep needed.

  2. Step 2

    Identify

We come back with a short written audit: the repetitive processes draining the most hours, the ones causing small repeating errors, and the work we'd leave alone.

  3. Step 3

    Walk-through

A 30-minute call to walk you through the report and answer questions. You decide what's worth doing: with us, with your own team, or not at all.

Common questions about workflow audit.

How much does the workflow audit cost?

It's a fixed fee, agreed upfront before we start. We share the number on the discovery call so there are no surprises. For a typical 1–20 person business, the audit is the kind of cost a partner approves in a meeting, not a board decision — and it's set so that recovering one repetitive process pays for it many times over.

Do we have to implement with you afterwards?

No. The audit is a standalone deliverable. About half our audit clients implement with us, the other half take the report and run it themselves. We'd rather you walk away with a good report than feel locked in.

How long does the audit take?

Typically one to two weeks from the sit-down to the written report, plus the 30-minute walk-through call. We don't drag it out.

What if you tell us replacing these processes isn't worth it for us?

Then that's the report. We'd rather tell you honestly than build something that doesn't pay back. It happens for maybe one in ten engagements, usually when the underlying process needs fixing before AI is the right tool.
